Get Support
What We Do
College Title IX can be a starting point for College students who have been impacted in any way by sexual harassment or other sexual misconduct, including sexual assault, dating violence, stalking, or gender-based harassment based on sexual orientation or gender identity. Options and resources are available regardless of where or when the experience occurred, or if the other party is a Harvard community member. Title IX Resource Coordinators are available for all College students, including those who have directly experienced sexual harassment or other sexual misconduct, witnessed or are supporting someone impacted, or may have engaged in sexual harassment or other sexual misconduct. Title IX Resource Coordinators partner with students to:
- Navigate resources, including those that are confidential.
- Share an experience. Learn about making a disclosure.
- Access supportive measures.
- Learn about filing a formal complaint.
- Implement safety measures. Learn about supportive measures, and contacting law enforcement.
Title IX Resource Coordinators can also be a connection for pregnant and parenting students seeking modifications or support in engaging in their studies at Harvard, and with respect to sex discrimination, including based on gender identity and sexual orientation.
If may be helpful to know that:
- Title IX Resource Coordinators treat information shared with them with the utmost privacy.
- Title IX Resource Coordinators share information only a need-to-know basis.
- Speaking with a Title IX Resource Coordinator does not automatically trigger an investigation or formal complaint.
Meet with Us
Meeting with a Title IX Resource Coordinator can be helpful to ask questions and learn more about resources and supportive measures. Sharing information with a Title IX Resource Coordinator is separate from filing a formal complaint with the University Title IX Coordinator, though Resource Coordinators welcome questions about the process and related policies. Title IX Resource Coordinators treat information with the utmost privacy and share information only on a need-to-know basis, and can also refer to confidential resources. Learn about confidentiality and Title IX.
College students and Harvard community members are encouraged to reach out to College Title IX to meet or ask questions.
