Harvard University is committed to maintaining a safe and healthy educational and work environment in which no member of the University community is excluded from, or denied the benefit of, any University program or activity because of their sex, sexual orientation, or gender identity. The University’s policies prohibiting sexual harassment and other sexual misconduct are designed to ensure a safe and non-discriminatory educational and work environment, while complying with all federal regulations and state laws.

Harvard University's policies prohibit behaviors such as sexual harassment, gender-based harassment, sexual assault, dating violence, domestic violence, and stalking. These behaviors may also be a violation of the law, and reporting to law enforcement and filing a formal complaint with Harvard are not mutually exclusive.
